Friday night we headed to Downey for the rival football game....it sounded like a good idea until we were sitting in traffic and it took us over 2 hours to get there. Check out Sandy's blog for the great story of how we even got into the sold out game and for lots more pics! Funny but we are still Viking fans at heart and wanted to see them pound those Warren Bears! It was a great game and fun to see the Viking victory. Didn't see too many of those victories when we went there (sorry Babe...go #28!) Anyway...the half time show was, well, interesting...it was kind of a salsa style of music with a guy and girl singing in Spanish. I was a bit stumped. At one point I asked Chelcie to translate some of what we were hearing and all she could come up with was "Sombrero"....nice! Let's just say that the demographic has changed a bit over 20 years....Fun times. We ended the night by driving through Tommy's (oh yeah!) and heading home.
