Amazing Season!

Can't believe it's been so long between posts. Time has been stretched thin over these past several days. Doug is enjoying his valet job...he started last weekend at the McCallum Theatre for training. Got to drive 2 Rolls Royces and an Astin Martin so far! He also saw a Mavox (sp?) and apparently this is quite the vehicle! Anyway, we are juggling quite a bit but all the while God is so very faithful to provide for us in amazing ways! I really need to journal this all down so that we never forget the blessings that He has bestowed upon us during this Christmas season. A couple of advent activities: Serve at the Coachella Valley "Christmas Store". This is a collective effort by several churches where families in need can go and shop for free gifts and food and even get a family picture with Santa. Our home group all headed over and worked in the gift wrap area. It was wonderful to be of use in the lives of these families. Another night the four of us snuggled on the couch, had a fire and watched the movie "The Nativity Story". This is a fabulous movie that was out last year about Mary, Joseph and the birth of Christ. The girls finished up with school on Thursday and are now on a break until January 7th. Poor Chelcie came down with Strep Throat and missed the whole week of school! She is on antibiotics now and is feeling much better. I am officially off work now too. I am not scheduled at Dream Dinners until January 4th and am looking forward to a much needed break....another blessing, being able to take this time off! Doug's valet schedule varies week to week so it is still up the air right now. We are very much looking forward to a nice, long weekend of making tamales, making cookies with Lolo, hanging out with wonderful friends and preparing to celebrate the most wonderful event in history!
