What day is it???

Ok, so my grand idea of blogging everyday is not working out so well! I am losing steam and am a bit overwhelmed at the moment. Just an update (and request for prayer) but we are experiencing some real challenges at the moment. As many of you know, Doug is in the building industry (cabinet design for kitchens, bathrooms, entertainment centers, etc.) and that industry has really been hit hard with this present economy. Doug's company is downsizing considerably so we are thankful for his job as many co-workers have already been laid off. This has resulted in some real financial challenges for us and after much thought, prayer, godly counsel and educating ourselves (Thank you Dave Ramsey! Christian Financial Expert...great books if anyone is interested.), we have determined that we both need to get 2nd jobs for the time being. I started working at Dream Dinners (remember this great place from former posts?) Thursday nights, Fridays and Saturdays. Doug has started with a valet parking company (great money in our area for this!). We are really juggling things at the moment. It's times like these that we cling to God's promises of provision and protection. We are able to come closer together as a family as we work through all of this and yet keep the Lord as our priority as an example to our kids, friends and family. We have the most amazing friends who are coming along side us, helping us in amazing ways and praying for us. Doug and I were talking the other day and I said I would not change our circumstances as we have seen God's hand in all of this. He is sustaining me every day. Please pray for our endurance, our treasured family time, wisdom for Doug as he leads us through this, health (I have an irregular heart beat that is treated with daily medication and it has started "acting up" Tuesday evening so I am not feeling quite 100%). Please pray that God would continue to reveal His plan to us in all of this. WOW, is this deep or what? Thanks for reading.....
